Membership Categories

Professional • $150 per year

Requirements and Conditions

  • 5 years' minimum professional communication experience
  • Owner, principal or partner of communication service business with 3 or fewer full-time employees
  • Part-time or full-time
  • No minimum years' experience as an independent – but years will be listed in directory
  • Must show portfolio of work to peers / membership

Benefits of Professional Membership Level

  • Networking via regular monthly meetings
  • Voting rights
  • Receives discounts on ICA-sponsored events, such as workshops
  • "Members only" chat room on ICA web site
  • Receives announcements about contract, part-time and full-time employment opportunities
  • Can be listed in the web directory that will be promoted by ICA
  • Can be elected as a board member

Associate • $75 per year

Requirements and Conditions

  • Interested communicators who do not meet the criteria for full professional membership
  • Can include employees, students, retirees and others

Benefits of Associate Membership Level

  • Many of the benefits listed above, with two major exceptions:
  • Associate members are not listed in the web directory
  • Associate members can not become a board member

Sponsor (Silver/Gold/Platinum) • $250/500/750 per year

Requirements and Conditions

  • Vendors and suppliers
  • Become a silver, gold or platinum sponsor
  • In-kind services accepted if consistent with current ICA needs

Benefits of Sponsor Level Membership

  • Regular networking with prospective clients/ICA members
  • Up to 3 company representatives attend regular meetings at member rate
  • Links on ICA web site and e-newsletters
  • Other branding and promotional opportunities (options vary according to sponsorship level)
